Who Collects and Verifies the Data?
- Data entry: In villages, field functionaries such as patwaris, panchayat secretaries and village development officers. In towns, the municipal commissioner or executive officer of the town panchayat is responsible for the entire town.
- Verification: The concerned Charge Officer checks the data on the portal and can return records for correction.
- Final authentication: The state Directorate of Census Operations (DCO) authenticates the data.
